I didn't take very many pictures since it was such a rushed trip. I just didn't feel like it. I just wanted to be.....I have perfect pictures and memories in my mind that I can muster anytime I need them.
I started going to the east coast the summer of my 8th to 9th grade school year to an Episcopal church camp in Shrewsbury, MA. I have felt a pull in that direction ever since. I hope we end up there some day after all is said and done.
There are so many memories there. Just imagine being in high school and going to a place every year where people KNEW YOU and accepted you unconditionally. That place was far, far away where people had accents and called things by different names. I traveled by plane, train and RV to get there. It sustained me for the upcoming school year.
Cannot tell you how influential those camps are; they too got me through the school year. Doing everything I can to get my kids to one next year and am prob. going to leave a sick husband to go to my parent's family camp in Otisville MI with my sisters and their families and bro. and his family. Seriously awesome experiences.
